Having spent countless hours in the field with many rifle/scope combinations, as well as hunters with varying degrees of eyesight, we will give you an honest answer – It depends on the hunter and their set-up.

We see other suppliers stating you’ll be able to shoot “X” yards, animal identification, eye shine, distances, etc. etc. There is no standard; every hunter, their equipment & environment will yield varying degrees of performance.

As a general rule – with marginal optics on your rifle and decent eyesight you should have no problem taking a 125-175 yard shot with a high degree of certainty that you’ll place a good kill shot. The better the optics on your rifle the longer this comfort range will expand. High quality optics combined with ideal conditions will yield shot ranges in excess of 200+ yards. Quoting a definitive distance would be doing a disservice to you, the hunter, as well as the game we all respect when we hunt.
